Our Founders

Co-founders Jessica Wright and Shelah Wind-Smith at Ripple Journeywork in Eugene, Oregon.

We are Jessica and Shelah, friends whose paths crossed nearly three decades ago. Over the years we have walked beside one another through many seasons of life. From times of celebration to moments of deep loss, our friendship has been rooted in respect, presence, and a shared belief in personal growth.  Together, we bring decades of combined experience in facilitation, community leadership, and trauma-aware, consent-based care.

At the center of Ripple are four guiding values:

Authenticity
Showing up as our whole selves and creating a space where others feel welcome to do the same.

Community
Cultivating connection, belonging, and a sense of shared purpose.

Communication
Listening with care, speaking with honesty, and honoring each person’s voice.

Tenacity
Staying true to what matters and continuing forward even when the way is uncertain.

These values guide how we work together and how we welcome people into the space we steward at Ripple Journeywork.

About Our Team

Ripple Journeywork is more than a service center. It is a cooperative of licensed facilitators who work together as a team. We make decisions collaboratively and through consensus, reflecting our belief that shared leadership strengthens trust, accountability, and care.

Our team brings professionalism, presence, and grounded attentiveness. We create an environment where clients can explore their inner experience with support and respect. Each facilitator is committed to ethical practice, ongoing learning, and showing up with clarity and integrity.

Psilocybin sessions at Ripple are offered in accordance with Oregon law. Experiences unfold at the pace of the individual, with the facilitator accompanying rather than directing the process. We place emphasis on relationship, safety, personal agency, and genuine human connection.

Ripple Journeywork is not just a place to receive services. It is a community practice of reciprocity, belonging, and shared stewardship of one another’s humanity.

The Story Behind Our Name

Record player resting in water, symbolizing music, community, and the origin of Ripple Journeywork.

The name Ripple Journeywork reflects our belief that moments of care, insight, and kindness extend beyond the individual. We have seen how even subtle inner shifts move outward through relationships, families, and communities in ways that matter over time.

As longtime Deadheads and lifelong music lovers, the Grateful Dead community has deeply shaped both of us. The music, the gatherings, and the culture of shared responsibility and generosity taught us that what we offer one another continues forward. The name Ripple honors that lineage and the understanding that presence, care, and connection rarely end with a single moment.

Our mission is to steward spaces where inner movement can unfold at its own pace. We trust that meaningful inner work supports healthier relationships, stronger communities, and a more compassionate shared world.
